Did you know that the most viewed video on Youtube is Justin Bieber’s song – Baby? Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance holds the second place.
These two videos combined were played more than 600.000.000 (six hundred million!) times. Let’s say that a song lasts, in average, 2 minutes. By this simple equation we can calculate that people spent 2660 years watching these songs.
I find it amazing!
I am thinking about these things:
- People dedicated to these songs the time of a whole civilization (from an ancient Greeks :)
- YouTube as a channel has more power than any media ever
- We can not contemplate the influence of these songs in certainty
- People have a lot of free time
- This free time could (should) somehow be invested in volunteer work
- It is about 40 human lifespans
- I can not imagine the kids or people who are listening to this music
- What is the single thing that you can sell to people who love these songs?
